try closing some things that you don't really need running in the background either by just scrolling around and right clicking then clicking end task, or going onto your taskbar and clicking the upward arrow and right clicking and ending those tasks.

To prevent them from launching each time you open your computer, click startup and disable all except for the ones you need.

That is normal. Windows uses available free ram for file system caching.
If processes require more ram, then file system cache is reduced.
Yep, this is it. If you want to see what your system is like without the caching, pull one of the 8GB modules out and boot up. You'll find it's a lot slower doing the same things. 16GB is pretty much the new standard, which is unreal since I remember when 16MB was the standard!! :eek:
