Specs:
GTX 1060 3gb
I5 8400
8gb Ram
1TB HDD
238GB SSD

For the last month or so i have started to take notice that my PC has become considerably slower. This was noticed while trying to play Warzone with my friends and I started to constantly freeze from 90-110 fps down to 4fps every 5 seconds or so. I left it for a while and tried again today. SAME THING HAPPENING! Warzone is not the only game that is effected by this, Cold War and Rocket League are both also dropping frames. Keep in mind i run on the lowest graphics settings on every game. And just recently ive noticed my whole computer running slow. Opening chrome, loading youtube videos etc.

All fans are spinning, temps are fine, have scanned for malware, have scanned specific drives, have cleaned out dust, all drivers up to date.
I am aware i need to upgrade to16gb ram but my friend has been able to run Warzone smoothly on higher graphics settings with considerably worse specs than mine. 8GB RAM TOO!!

Someone please help me!!!

Hello and welcome to the forums

Personally i would reinstall windows from scratch, rather then looking for the problem

If the problem persists we can look further

create a win 10 bootstick using this tool

Also how full is your ssd getting. 230gb is quite a small capacity... with a couple of modern games you could potentially already be at 70% of its capacity so the frame drops you're getting could also be storage related. Since it's not 3d rendering application by themselves like games, but also while browsing and opening apps, my first suspect would be the storage. How are the temperatures looking on the pc?

There's also storage degratation, especially if it's a cheap one. Judging by the specs i reckon is a fairly old ssd?

52gb storage remaining on my ssd, pc has been running with nothing open for 20 minutes and temperatures are: cpu: 36 degrees celsius, my gpu is 43 degrees celsius, my motherboard is 36 degrees celsius and my hdd and ssd are 36 and 32 degrees celsius

OK it's def not the temps then.

Yeah, try a fresh windows reinstall. If it keeps happening, imo the culrpit is the ssd, getting old and degraded, especially if you have constantly ran games on it. What i can you suggest next time is to take a ssd dedicated to windows only and main pc apps, and one where you would install games only.

Thanks for the advice man, my ssd is around 2.5 years old and i have only ever run 1 gane off the ssd. All other games have been run through the hdd

Then definitely try to reinstall windows because that's a weird issue. It's def not the gpu so don't listen to the guy above me trying to sell you stuff. If it was the gpu alone, that wouldn't happen while browsing.
