[SOLVED] Why is my port still showing as closed ?

I am having an issue with port forwarding on my internet connection. I have a TalkTalk router that goes into a Google wifi. I have port forwarded my public IP to the Google wifi IP then forwarded from google to my PC for a MC server but the port is still showing closed. The setup is that from the talktalk hub a cable goes to a gigabit modem and then into TP Link extenders to my PC. Is there something im doing wrong?

You have many places that things can go wrong with that much stuff in the path.

Start simple plug your pc into the talktalk router and set the port forwarding to the pc there. Once you get this working you can add the google router and the extenders.

The most common reason we see people not be able to get port forwarding working is that they do not actually have a public IP address. Someplace in the talktalk router you should be able to see the IP address the ISP assigned to your WAN port. You need to compare this with sites like whatsmyip. If these IP do not match you do not have a public IP assigned to you and you will never get port forwarding to work.
