So I recently build a new system. Everything was great except my gpu. I thought that my games were lacking some frames and after running user benchmark twice my hypotheses was confirmed with my gpu scoring far below average (3rd percentile). Trying to find out why this has been the case for me has so far been unsuccessful. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Parts:
Ryzen 5 2600
1x16GB DDR4 3000Mhz
Asus prime B450M-A
480GB M.2 SSD
450W 80+ Gold Psu
Asus Dual RX580 O4C

Trying to tweak some settings in the Radeon Adrenaline software has been unsuccessful. I also have the latest version of windows 10.

I am also...
I tried to tune things a bit more equivalently in my rig - GPU 1355, VRAM 1750 .. my CPU would have been between 3.2 and 3.7 probably.

System differences, is that my system RAM is @3200 and tuned extremely tightly, and my video card is 8 gb not 4 - both those will give me an advantage - especially the RAM. (lol, I guess technically its all RAM)

The score difference is only about 150 points (which my tuned memory plus 4 extra gb of VRAM could account for), so your card is probably fine; perhaps Userbenchmark's video testing is strongly influenced by system RAM configuration? Not sure ... but I'm starting to become sure its a pretty useless benchmark tool.

I have Catzilla 4k currently installed ... its a fairly small benchmark tool (relatively), if you want to DL that, I can give comparisons with that as well.

Can you run with

The only thing I could find online to compare is this:

But this was set with "Ultra" preset and then the resolution brought down to 1080p for the run. You can change to these settings and run again and compare the scores. Note that your CPU is a fair bit better than his, but I suspect you should get roughly the same score (~1150), or maybe a little better.

I can do a run on my system when I get home.

I am also starting to think that my card is just normal.

Yup everything looks not too bad ...

You're 130 up from the guy with the bulldozer CPU, and 150 down from me. Its a reasonably large spread, but there's lots of variables to consider, and considering them, the scoring seems to not be too far off from expectations - at least everything seems trending in the right direction.

I tried one more run last night but didn't revert back on it, I lowered my ram clock (but left the tight timings - didn't want to mess with the sweet spot I found), and it brought my score down by just over 50 points. If you want to consider that my extra 4gb of VRAM can make a 100 point difference (I don't know but it seems fair to me), everything looks fine.

I do suspect that once you get the new RAM Userbenchmark will report back better GPU results, but its looking like there's nothing really wrong with your card and that the problem is Userbenchmark 😉

Thanks for the help man I really appreciate it.
