SPECS:
Ryzen 7 1700x
GTX 1080 FTW
16 GB RAM
2TB HDD
256GB SSD

I have 2 monitors running from my computer. Both the exact same make, model and size. The only difference is that one is running into a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and the other is running straight into HDMI on my GPU.
The monitor plugged straight into HDMI is running 75hz and the screen quality is much better. The monitor running to the adapter is running at 60hz and the quality isn't the best. Now, I would assume it could be a bad adapter, but that's unlikely in my case. I know it's not the monitor because I switched them and the other monitor went to 75hz, vice-versa.
What do you think the problem could be?
