Question Why is there an orange line through my HP laptop screen ?

Please help me.. I can't play games because the orange line will distract me. How to fix ?

The laptop wasn't expensive & it's old.

There's only so much you can explain with text that you need assistance of other methods like images. Can you please parse an image of what you're seeing? Also, what is the model of your HP laptop? An SKU will help us to fold. Do mention the age of the laptop. Can you get into BIOS?
