[SOLVED] Why is there no native 'always on top' functionality?

I'm sure I remember this feature being in older versions of windows,
Or at least built in to quite a few programs back in the day.

Seems crazy to me that such a useful function wouldn't be available in the latest version of windows in the current year.
I want to be able to have a browser window open with youtube whilst working on another application, without my browser minimizing itself every time I do something.
Searching for how to do this just seems to bring up shills to potentially sketchy third party applications/scripts. :/

Solution
As far as I know, there is no such function built into Windows itself. Some software has this as an option, but it's not on all Windows.

DeskPins may work.
I just tried it. Install it, it will run in the tray. Click on it with the left mouse button. The cursor will change. Click on the program you want to stay on top. You can click on the little pin at the top of the program afterwards to stop forcing the app to stay on top.
This hasn't changed but the only reason an app should minimize when losing focus is if you click out of fullscreen. Browsers can't go fullscreen and a fullscreen video, game or other in browser thing is actually borderless windowed so there is something else (third party) minimizing it. You bring up third party already so what other non windows apps are running when this happens?

Sorry, I didn't mean minimized,
What I mean is, if I'm trying to watch a video in a web browser, I can't work on another application without the browser window being pushed to the back (non active window)

The application needs to be full screen (running two windows side by side isn't an option), and I need to be able to make sure the windowed (non full screen) browser window stays on top despite me clicking around in the other application.

So the app is maximized, not fullscreen and you have a windowed browser partly overlayed on top that you want to stay on top. This is very very rare especially with multi monitors being so prevalent, not just for content creators but for all usages. 3rd party is your only bet.
