[SOLVED] Why isn't my Samsung 860 EVO M.2 working?

I have installed it, but it isn't showing up in windows/bios. this is my motherboard and my laptop is msi GE73-8re

The 860 EVO M.2 is a SATA drive.

1x M.2 SSD Combo (NVMe PCIe Gen3 / SATA ) so doesn't this mean that sata should work?

Woops i was thinking of the 960 evo.

The 860 evo sata drive is not going to work in the m.2 nvme drive. You will have to put it into the combo slot.

From your picture, you need to put it in the TOP slot.

There no m.2 connector soldered onto the board for the top slot.

I suspect you will have to put in the combo slot where the kingston is, and then ditch the kingston.

Oh yeah. Didn't notice that.

Yup. Remove the Kingston, put the 860 in there.
Put the Kingston in the other M.2 port.

It is probably both SATA and NVMe.
Look in your user manual.

In any case, that 860 EVO will not work in that PCIe slot.

well i tried taking the kingston one out, but the damn thing is firmly glued to my motherboard and i dont wanna damage anything so i guess i will buy a nvme one then
