[SOLVED] Why lowing my resolution didn't increase my fps?

I have 2k monitor (3440x1440) I tried lowing my resolution in valorant to 1080p,all setting in low, but i getting the same fps as 2k

I need to change the resolution in the desktop too?

If your CPU can't run the game any faster then it doesn't matter how much you lower your graphics, you will get the same FPS.

If it's increased such that the CPU power is no longer the limiting factor, yes.

I see people with the same spec with more fps, but with 1080p monitor.
