[SOLVED] Why my MSI Z97-G45 does not reach max LAN speeds?

I see in the specs sheet that my MSI Z97-G45 LAN port is 10/100/1000 but the Killer Network software would only say it is 100, how can I change it to 1Gbs? I got an internet plan of 160Mbps download speed but can just receive max around 90Mbps. Thanks in advance!

Verify that your router supports gigabit. Get a new factory made cat5e or newer cable.
Is your PC plugged directly into the router? No wall ports or other unlisted weak point?
