Why my pc lags

Why there is a sudden fps drop when i am playing games in my pc though its a mid range pc but i m getting around 59 to 60 fps in rise of the tomb raider in very high settings but the game lags at some points because of fps drops....why it is happening..
And top of it i m playing the game in optimized setting. My configurations are
1060 3gb
8gb ram ddr4
i5 6600
2 Tb hdd
Gigabyte H170 gaming 3 mobo

could be due to a virus on your pc i would scan just to make sure if it doesnt work reply and il try think about it more lol

Hello there,
My configuration is
Gpu zotac gtx 1060 3 gb
Cpu i5 6600
Mobo gigabyte H 170 gaming 3 rev 1.0 (ddr 4)
Ram corsair vengeance 8gb 2400 mhz
Psu cooler master B500 ver 2.0
Monitor Dell S2216H

The problem is that inEvery game I'm getting low fps like 30 and fps drop below 30 due to which game lags
Even in games like batman arkham Knight's I'm getting only 30 fps on high setting and fps was also dropping to 28 25 due to which i fase lagging problems

I have tried every high end games like withcher 3,tomb raider,mafia 3,crysis 3,watch dogs 2,quantum break etc all are running at very low fps
V sync is on cause if i turn it off i am getting the screen tearing issue in every game

I'm using a high end machine these games are meant to be run smoothly on my pc.

Please suggest what is happening and how to resolve it.

2. 1060 3gb is very likely bottlenecking, turn setting to medium and see if you can get better FPS.
