I have MSI X299 SLI PLUS (MS-7A93). The board supports the following memory:

The board has 2 * 8GB HyperX DDR4 RAM. I wanted to increase the memory. Fortunately I had spare 4*16 GB ECC Samsung DDR4 RAM. When I insert the RAM modules it gives me error code 55 on the LED display, which is the memory error. I tested the RAM on another motherboard, it works fine. A different DDR4 RAM in the same slot of the MSI motherboard is not working. Why is that?
I found that the only difference is that the HyperX RAM supports XMP overclocking but isn't ECC and the Samsung RAM is just the opposite. Is that a problem?
I know these Crucial RAM will work if I buy them. Just wanted to know why the RAM sticks I already have isn't working?
