Why On-line UPS is much more expensive than line-interactive UPS?

From what i understand On-line UPS should have simpler design. because it does not have the switching part which line-interactive UPS has..

Im not electrical engineer but i think On-line UPS is more simpler because its like simple charge and discharge at same time (??),

also both UPS types must have Rectifier and Inverter so this should not be the reason of price difference (??).

can you tell me which part makes On-line UPS more expensive?

Just wondering, thanks in advance.

Solution
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply#Online.2Fdouble-conversion

"The basic technology of the online UPS is the same as in a standby or line-interactive UPS. However it typically costs much more, due to it having a much greater current AC-to-DC battery-charger/rectifier, and with the rectifier and inverter designed to run continuously with improved cooling systems. It is called a double-conversion UPS due to the rectifier directly driving the inverter, even when powered from normal AC current."

Solution
I had a UPS before switching became fast enough and it was annoying as the inverter was always running. The PC was powered from the DC batteries via the DC-to-AC inverter so not only did that run, but the battery's had to be continuously charged (which wears them out much, much quicker too).

Once switching was fast enough that residual capacitor power was sufficient to keep the PC running without crashing I got a switching UPS which only kicks in if the wall power is gone, or to charge once the battery drops below a certain point.

thats intresting. so i think standby UPS is better now for home usage. sounds logical, i will read more about double-conversion part. thanks :)
