Why should I get a 24 inch if ppl tell me 22 inch looks almost as good

For anyone who wants Blu-ray resolutions and who also games, but price is an issue, there's the following Acer:

Screen real estate is good, that's why people recommend the 24", but price can be a factor even if one has a GPU that can handle the resolution. The Acer monitor seems like a good compromise. I want to give it a try myself.

I'm hoping Newegg gets me a working 3870x2 replacement that will last at least till fall when I'll have my pick of sub $200 ATI cards arriving in June.
