Not sure if it's even related to win 10 or anything but I only encounter this recently after I upgrade to win 10.

The point is most programs and games that I instal after upgrade always try to execute a non-exsist file or folder, but mostly folder.

The warning window say something like this : "setup file 'gameinfo.txt' doesn't exist in subdirectory 'gdota'. Check your -game parameter or VCONFIG setting".

Or something like this : "Data folder not found.
Details : there should be 'gKSP_x64_Data' folder next to the executable"

As someone who is barely understand those warnings, I realized a pattern of these errors instead.

So what I found is the exe files try to execute folder/files that was there but somehow the name is changed with letter "G" in front of it. For example the 'popo.exe' file is suppose to execute 'toto folder'. But it tries to execute 'gtoto folder' instead.

The error is dissapear simply by adding letter 'G' in front of the folders name (or files, deppends on what the exe file suppose to execute).

It wasn't really bad error but it's annoying as hell. And who knows what will happened after this.

It may be caused by virus but I know nothing about that. even if it is, my antivirus won't fix it. (Kaspersky IS 2016)

I think it has nothing to do with hardware, but feel free to ask if needed.

Please end my suffering.

Bexjor, your diagnostic is spot on. It was a virus. Why would someone make something like this anyway? I realized that there was a program called "ground.exe" on the main process and I can't shut it off. Thanks to the software you suggest (malwarebytes) it is no longer there.

But

I encounter next problem. Malwarebytes now quarantine most of exe file that was infected. In short, I still can't play or work. Do you have a follow up solution. Other than reinstal everything. Because if that's your sugestion I might as well reinstall the whole OS.

Sure I can get them out of the quarantine, but is it safe? (I think not)

One more thing, I don't know how to post a reply on this forum. Can't find the button (mobile)

Why do people make viruses like that? To be annoying, thats the entire purpose of that virus.I actually think it will be fine to get the .exe files out of quarantine as long as you leave the actual virus in there. Get them out of quarantine, restart your pc and then rescan and reopen the programs. All should be fine after that
