Splendid
Saw an nvidia 5200 or 5600 at best buy with 256 mb of memory on it. Only thing is it was a PCI video card.
WHY WHY WHY? Doesnt make sense to put that much memory on a pci card.

Because of the poathetic knowledge base of Joe Consumer, and because of the shameless capitalization of this fact by unscrupulous marketers.

Yep, you saw BFG's FX 5200 PCI 256mb. Absolutely pointless to have that much memory on that card, plus just the fact that it is a FX 5200 PCI and it costs about $140-$150. Consider that if you have an AGP board then you can get a 5900 non-ultra for $50 more, and you see the kind of waste that this card truly is. Also, since you can get a 128mb 9100 PCI (if you have no AGP slot) that will smoke the 5200 PCI for only $50/after rebate, then you almost have to wonder that there are any who would purchase that particular 5200 PCI.
