So I have been having lots of issues recently with my computer after installing a graphics card the power supply stopped working and my motherboard started smoking, so I replaced the motherboard and got a stronger power supply and it still won't turn on... Any ideas that I should try?
(I see no visible damage on anything else)
Motherboard - msi b450m gaming plus

Power supply - thermaltake smart 500w

Edit - I have since gotten rid of the gpu (I was originally going for a upgrade but then got a refund after dealing with the new issues)

Since you replaced your mobo, it is possible the stand-off positions for the new one do not match where the old one's stand-offs were placed.

There's probably your problem.

Smart series is an awful PSU. Quantity of wattage is useless without quality.
The GPU may not have needed more power, it needed better quality control and output of power.

There's no guarantees the PSU hasn't damaged other components.

Is the Smart your new one? What was your old one?
Smart is my new one, my old one was Corsair cx450 or something like that which didn't originally work with the replaced board

I got the same exact motherboard, standoffs are all in the same place
