why wont my wifi work without VPN

I try to go on social medias or YouTube or google and my settings just now started saying "VPN" and my wifi won't work unless I turn it on but sometimes won't turn on or turns off without me making it. why??

Did you setup the VPN connection or did this just magically appear one day?
