Why won't windows 10 install?

I've tried upgrading from windows 7 to 10 with the free upgrade but it says..

CPU: OK
Memory : OK
Disk space: OK
Display: The display is not compatible with windows 10.

My current monitor is a 22 inch samsung full HD monitor (approx 2 years old)
My GPU is an AMD Radeon 7870

Anyone know why it's not compatible?

How are you connecting to the display (VGA, HDMI, DVI)?

If you can, try changing from HDMI to DVI and try again. I saw this issue with one of my systems. It had to do with the HDCP implementation (also a Radeon/Samsung implementation). Changing to DVI solved the issue.
