Hello all, today I upgraded my motherboard and I did a clean install of windows. After windows was installed I tried installing the drivers that came with my motherboard and widows won't run the disk. Every time I try to open anything it stops responding. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Before I installed windows, I formatted everything. There was an option to delete. Do I have to do that?

At one point I could see what was on the driver disk for the motherboard but then the window stopped working. I can run things like solitaire but I can't run the disk or open any drives. It can't even shut down properly. I have to hold down the power button to make it go off. Also, I can't connect to the Internet because the diver is not installed.

The version of windows that I have is an OEM version and I have heard that if you have already downloaded it on one motherboard then you can't download it on another. Is this the issue? I would think so but I have downloaded it on my new motherboard already so I don't know

I would love to try that but I can't connect to the Internet or use a disk or a usb devise on my computer. For some reason windows stops responding after I select one of those devises to open. However everything else seems to work. Also, yes the version of windows that I have is an OEM system builder pack.

Yes I did boot off of the CD. My computer is working now, I re-installed windows and the USB was working so I found the Ethernet driver and loaded it onto my computer that was not working. After that was installed, I could load the rest of the drivers. I guess it was just a fluke thing. But all is well now. Thanks for all of your help!
