Question Wi-Fi adapter too slow Internet speed ?

I am using this Wi-Fi adapter of an unknown make and despite getting an excellent signal, the speed is no more than 400KBps. My Internet provider speed is 6MBs.

The strange thing is that when I use my Android phone as a wifi adapter, the speed is great.

Any help is much appreciated.

Well, is there any marking of the brand it could be?
How is it connected to your PC?

You haven't given us much information "this WIFI adapter of unknown make" is the equivalent of saying "I drank some unknown liquid and I am sick".
