I have a Gigabyte Aorus b550m elite ax, in the settings in windows there is no Wi-Fi option. I plugged it into ethernet for now, but the booster that it is plugged into is a piece of junk, took 1 1/2hrs to download google chrome. My friend did bypass the TPM check, and the Secure boot check to install windows 11. I did update the drivers, I did check the BIOS, I didn't see any wifi options. I saw a code 28, I followed a tutorial and now the codes gone but there is no wifi in the settings still. What should I do?

Tutorial I saw:

Did I screw something up by following this? Is there a way to undo that?

you should check if you have in bios an options to enable or disable wifi / bluethooth module, i know this is kind of new for me and you, but you should check if you got the lastest chipset driver and driver for wifi/bluethooth, antenas to be connected to motherboard ports.

you should unistall al bluethooth or wifi modifications you've made and get the right wifi / bluethooth driver form motherboard website, go to device manager -> fiind bluethooth and wifi drivers -> right click and unistall them -> download bluetooth and wifi drivers on this device if you have internet or other device and use a stick or something and install them on this device, when you unistall the wifi module driver from device manager and refresh, should get the defaul windows driver.

I have already gotten all the latest drivers from Gigabyte and installed them. I have ethernet on the computer so I have done the AMD software update that updates the GPU and the CPU drivers. The ethernet is in kbps instead of mbps since the booster it plugged into is not good at all. I searched through the BIOS, i cannot find the network anywhere. Not under tweaking, settins, etc. I have clicked on everything that looked like it might have something to do with the WIFI and none of it had any wifi settings. So if the drivers are up to date, and the BIOS has no network settings what do I do? I have no WIFI card in it, but I saw I didn't need one for it, and was told it could mess things up. Im lost on this and have googled it over and over and have not come up with anything else that might help.

search in device manager standard serial over bluethooth and install the bluethooth driver againe or and wifi one, you could unistall from device manager anything related to wifi and bluethooth and reinstall them.

Are you installing drivers using Gigabyte Control Center? It should find all required drivers on it's own.

Can you explain what you mean by taking over an hour to install Chrome?

google chrome downloads the installer through the internet and after that executes installer, maybe the download time was 1h

Once it downloaded the chrome downloaded, that was what took over an hour. I’ve been downloading them individually from gigabyte I will find the control center and try that
