Wi-fi problem with acer tablet

Hey Man

Lucky for you I had same problem w/ my Acer Icona 500 and figured it out w/ the help of..... drum roll.... GOOGLE.

Acers wifi driver is a little fussy. To make a long story short, you must set up your tablet to connect to your home network with a Static IP Address

For some reason their tablets won't connect properly to some routers that assign IP addresses using DNS (I'm trying to sound like I know what I'm talking about here)

Set up your tablet to connect with your router using a Static IP that is outside the range of IP addresses your router assigns using DNS.

You will need to go into your routers firmware to see the range of address assigned using DNS and assign one to the tablet outside of that range. There's a couple other settings you need to enter also (I believe the Subnet Mask, Gateway & Local DNS)

You're going to have to do a little homework here and maybe need to call or chat w/ Acer support (like I did) to get everything setup but I will 99% guarantee this is the answer to your problem.

Godspeed To You
