Wi-Fi range extender help!

So my brothers room is in a part of the house that does not get internet from the router and and I wanted to know how I would go about getting Wi-Fi to that part of the house. I was thinking a range extender or is there something you guys would suggest as a better option. I was wondering if you guys could list maybe some of the pros and cons about using a range extender and maybe suggest a good one for him or a better option.

Ethernet cable and an access point is always #1 option. If that is unacceptable, then an AV2 powerline adapter set with an access point would be #2.

But he needs it as wi-fi.. would that accomplish that?

An access point provides WIFI. There are some powerline adapters that have WIFI access points built in.

Can you suggest something that I should buy that would provide wi-fi for him and not affect the internet speeds in the rest of the house?

There is no way to guarantee that your brother having better connectivity won't impact the rest of the house. He could be streaming video non-stop once he has decent connectivity.

Getting a WIFI access point and using a different WIFI channel shouldn't impact the other WIFI if you use channels 1, 6, or 11 exclusively.

Yea I didn't mean it like that I just meant meaning just having it connected like it would partition the internet or something lol Can you just give me a link to the best option that would give him wi-fi?

That might be an option. If you can buy it locally, then if your wiring has issues with compatibility you can take it back....
