Hey Techies,

I am trying to get internet access on my tablet Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet computer.

I have a mobile phone running an unlimited 4G LTE. I use PDANet+ to receive internet on my main Computer, by way of the USB connection method, as my Phone asks me to purchase a wi-fi bundle to use the on-board Wi-Fi function, whenever i try to use the WI-Fi selection on PDaNet+.

I have installed PDANet+ on all 3 machines and from the phone to computer an internet connection is made and is in working operation, as I said from the USB method.

I have tried using the Bluetooth method for internet connection from the phones PDANet+ Bluetooth server to the Tablets PDANet+ client, however although it says it is connecting and receiving data, every time I try to gain net access, it, the tablet, brings me to the Wi-Fi connection screen, not utilizing the Bluetooth connection from the phone DANet+ program.

I also have a Wi-Fi router, which i formally used from the land-line service provider to transfer internet connection to the computer, tablet and phone from a cable modem.

I'm wondering if there is a way to hook up the Wi-Fi router to the computer and have it broadcast the connection which is currently receiving, from the USB PDANet+ connection from the phone's USB connection to the computer, for it to send a WI-FI signal to the tablet.

I am wondering if the last is either possible as the tablet did not take to working with the Bluetooth signal, even tough it says it is receiving one.

As of now I have no idea of how I could use my WI-Fi router hooked up to my computer, receiving and internet connection from my phone could rebroadcast a signal to my tablet, from the USB internet connection. I think it should be possible, but am perplexed on how it could be done and was wondering if anyone could help.

Thanx,

What you are looking for is something like connectify hotspot but you have to pay for the one that can share a mobile broadband connection.

Be very careful there is no such thing as a unlimited 4g LTE connection that allows you to tether any more. All have restriction which is likely why you can't just turn on the hotspot in the phone and let it do all the work. You can try to get around this with programs like PDANET but the provider can easily detect that you are doing this. The headers in the HTTP have lots of information about the platform you run on so it will quickly tell them it is not the phone.

ATT tends to catch people very quickly and send text message telling you to stop or lose your unlimited status. Some of the other smaller providers you can get away with it if you do not transfer a lot of data but pretty much all will hunt you down when you start transferring many gigs of data a month.
