Question wifi/bluetooth internal plug on a Optiplex 5040

I recently put a wifi/bluetooth card in another computer and besides taking up a pcie slot it needed to plug into a 9 pin internal usb slot. I did it fine on that one but this is a different motherboard. I don't see any 9 pin connecters on it but these 13 pins are arranged in the same alignment as the 9 pin it just has 4 more past it. I was wondering, if it fits that is, could I plug in the 9 pin and leave the others on the outside? and it work that is .or is there an adapter that would allow it to work? I have found a 13 to 9 pin one but it says its for audio

It has been reported on other websites that connecting the 9 pins does work. Use at your own risk.
