My laptop not too long ago lost it's WIFI function and is therefore completely reliant on an Ethernet connection . I have been looking at fixes for the issue and most of these recommend uninstalling the WIFI adaptor and it should reinstall itself upon restart. I uninstalled the adaptor and restarted my PC however the WIFI adaptor is completely gone. I don't know what WIFI adaptor is needed for my system and therefore can't reinstall it, and the manufacturer page for the device doesn't seem to have any adaptor information (https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GE72-2QD-Apache/Specification). Any help is much appreciated!

TLDR; Uninstalled WIFI adaptor and don't know which one I need as there is no trace of it.

Within the BIOS i couldn't find anything of use to do with the WIFI adaptor or drivers. It has definitely failed however the issue is that there isn't a trace of which adaptor it was which prevents me from reinstalling it.

(Sorry for the late reply) No there is no trace of WIFI functions on the laptop anymore. If i click network it only shows options for the ethernet and aeroplane mode, there isn't even a wifi button there.
