I have a garage about 300 feet from my house and I would like to get wifi there. It's a clear shot with only the house wall and garage wall in the way of the router. I can also get about 60 feet from the garage and still watch youtube videos now but after that it drops off. I dont think a wifi repeater will work since there is nowhere in between to plug it in at, could I use some antennae receiver combo?

Solution
What you want is a pair of outdoor wifi bridges. Ubiquiti sells a number but you can use the cheap nanostation loco ones for short distance. Should be under $100 for a pair.
You would mount one one each end and run the ethernet cables inside. On the house side you plug to the router on the garage you will need a AP or a cheap router running as a AP to provide wifi signal in the building.
