I know it's a bit goofball, but here it is.
I put together a desktop and have Ubuntu working well. When I connect it to the internet directly to ethernet (motherboard), the internet is great.
But I want wifi to work.
I've tried a couple of different wifi usb adapters and I'm struggling with drivers and the like.
Would either of these be less demanding in terms of Linux and drivers?

- a USB PCI network card
- some sort of wireless device that I can connect by ethernet ........ that the computer basically thinks is a proper ethernet connection
