Hi, my ASUS N56VJ that I bought thursday last week has only been problems to me.

My wifi is disconnected every time I open the lid after hibernate sleep or screensaver.
It has full signal but no connectivity to internet.
I've tried uninstalling the previous drivers for my Intel Centrino Wireless-n 2300 wifi adapter and replacing them with new updated driver both from ASUS recommended and the Intel webpage.

This problem is very tiring and I can't figure out what to do next. I've tried changing all the settings for DHCP and DNS but nothing resolves my problem.
There is plenty of windows warnings in the log files. (the same ones appear every 10-30 min)
For example DHCP-client 1001 (*error* can't get DHCP adress?) and 10002 WLAN-auto config (*warning*The module for WLAN expansion opportunities have been stopped. Module Path: C: \ Windows \ System32 \ IWMSSvc.dll) and 1014 DNS Client Events (*warning* namematching for "xxxxxxxx" caused timeout because none of the configured DNS servers responded).

I've tried hard reset on my Thomson TG789VN gateway, no change.
The computer doesn't seem to get a DHCP adress whatever I do, adn I have no idea what the warning about the IWMSSvc.dll is!

When I reboot the computer the Wifi works until it reaches screensaver or hibernate sleep, then it doesn't work after wakeup.

Heres the results of my ipconfig/all in cmd:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.2.9200]
(c) 2012 Microsoft Corporation. Med ensamrätt.

Ok, thank you for your reply. How do I do this in windows 8? Should I do it in the devicemanager and uninstall my WLAN adapter completely and do a reboot?

I get some errors in the windows log that comes every 2-3 minutes:

"In the program (Intel Bluetooth Wireless Highspeed) there is the following problems, if the program should function properly you must reinstall the program after upgrading windows.":

Yesterday I reinstalled my windows clearing the HDD and everything. Still have the same problems and then some. Is there a way to do a reinstall during bootup instead of via settings in the OS?
Please, I really need some help here.

Thanks!

Hello

Yes you can uninstall the drivers from the Device Manager. You can go to the Device Manager in Windows 8 by pressing Windows + R keys together to open Run command box and typing 'DEVMGMT.MSC' command (without quotes).

About the error logs, I think the issue is again with the drivers. Try doing the same thing with Bluetooth if this LAN trick works.

About reinstalling the Windows, as you said you just bought your new computer a week ago, installing a fresh copy of Windows would violate your warranty. However, what you can do is, you can try installing a fresh copy of Windows 8. You can get its evaluation version from Microsoft's official website. If you ever want to claim your warranty you can recover your entire system from the recovery disks.

Please make sure that you create a recovery disk of your system before you try anything new.

Let me know if this works for you.

Solution
Hi! I uninstalled the drivers and devices today, letting windows replace them with its generic drivers.
I haven't had any errors in system logfile the past hour or so, which is a sagnificant improvement!
The Wifi stays connected so far and the error I got about the bluetooth driver seems to be gone since I did the same procedure with that driver and device!
Thank you for the advice and I will update the changes and results when i've had the chance to evaluate!

Not going to read the whole thread, so apologizes if this has already been stated. Check your ROUTERS firmware and software. 90% of the time, when my internet starts the drop and pick up game, I go to the routers manufactures website and there is a update that fixes it. Just make a backup and also copy all your router settings (if not default) to a document so if you have to hand jam the info back into it, you got it. You only make that mistake once.
good luck

Still need some help start here and explore options
Granted this is for Win 7 but its a start to the right place.
