wifi problem in tab

hi guys lately i buyed an symphony tab of android 4.0.4

but i am not able to connect to wifi.But it shows that the network is visible and when it asked for password i gave it correctly.

but stili does not after clicking the connect button.it does not show anything wrong with the password.

i am using bsnl broadband in home with wifi modem

I've moved this thread to the Mobile Computing forum, as just because it may be an Android device, does not mean it belongs in the Cell Phone section.


Try changing the channel on your modem/router. It may be able to see the network but not able to connect to it due to interference from other devices. These can include other networks in your area, microwaves, wireless phones, cell phones, radios, televisions, the list goes on.

If you have an android Cell, download the app "WiFiExplorer" from Play Store via your mobile network and run it. It will show you what networks in range are on what channel, and whether or not they currently overlap with your home network. It's a pretty handy app to have for setting up a lag and interference free network.

In my experience, the clearest channels are 1, 6, 9, and 11.
