My wifi connection status is showing connected but i am unable to access internet.Suggest some possible solution so that i can access internet properly.

Try pinging 8.8.8.8

Example: Click start, type cmd, hit enter, in the black box that appears, type ping 8.8.8.8

There are two possible results, one is request timed out (or destination host unreachable, or etc), the other is a reply in a certain number of ms.
