Hello!Like a month ago I built a new gaming PC.Since my router is on the second floor of the house i currently live in I sadly dont have access to a Ethernet connection which i would use instead of Wireless. All of my devices in the house have a extremely good speed and connection all the time, unless my PC which has poor signal and high latency in all of my games. Is my TP-Link PCIe WiFi card or something else causing the problem? My PC sits on a wooden desk if this will help lol.
Thanks fowardly!

Aside from updating the drivers, you might try relocating the PC in that room to a more central location to the router (if at all possible). If the TP-Link PCIe has exterior antennas that connect to the card, I would verify they are still connected correctly.

The PCIe card has an antenna, and it is connected.Probably will try moving it somewhere else to check. What in particular should i even check except signal strength and latency?
P.S - The drivers are up to date

Those are really the only two transparent factors (latency and signal strength). Does your smart phones or tablets have far better connection in this room when compared to your PC? You may also look at reviews on your PCIe NIC and see if anyone else has reported trouble getting decent connectivity when other devices do just fine, could simply be hardware performance (just speculating).

One thing I do, having a lot of wifi interference in my home is simply put a free wifi analyzer app on my phone and see which areas in the room seem to receive better signal. You could also make sure your router is up to date (firmware) though if you received a modem/router gateway from your ISP they take care of that or at least should.

I'll keep an eye out on this thread. Best of luck!
