Wifi works, but not the computer it's connected.

So, i have re allocated some spaces in ym hard disk and i realised that my internet stopped working. I saw all the necessarey lights on, and also found out that my wifi is working.

I tried connecting with my laptop and it works. but not with my PC. When i try ipconfig /all, i dont see any IP but 4-5 lines of text. The IP in ethernet has been set to automatic and i tried static but still failed :/ (maybe i did it wrong - the static part).

What would've been the problem and how could i fix it?

Looks like my ethernet port is damaged. I had some over voltage problems.

Well, i quite doubt whether my port is messed up. I could see the orange light lit up and a smaller orange lit blinking. I tried connecting with an Plug n play internet thingy but it didnt work as well. The network trouble shooting says that

"There might be a problem with the driver for Ethernet Adapter"

"Windows couldnt automically bind the IP protocol stack to the netowkr adapter"

How can i fix this?


When i type ipcofig in cmd, it says one ling of text

"Windows IP configuration"
nothing else

but if i type ipconfig /all, it shows 5 lines of text

"WIndows IP confirguration

HOst Name .... (pc name)
Primary Dns suffix (and blank)4
Node Type.... hybrid
IP ROuting Enabled... No
WINS proxy Enabled.... No"

Bracket texts are not shown (ie comments)

THe plug n play working in the laptop though.
The Ethernet cable works (tried directly connecting to PC and it didnt work but when i connected to laptop, it did)
Wifi Works
Router Works
Internet access from PC doesn't work (inc Plun n Play USB and Ethernet connction)

What could've been the problem?

THe problems are fixed.
Open Ethernet Properties > Uncheck unnecessary things (excluding ipv4, ipv6, etc) > click Ok and necessary stuff.
And then it started working,
