Wil this M.2 fit into this motherboard?

Will the Samsung 970 EVO fit into this motherboard because nowhere on the ssd description says that it is 2242 or whatever.

The motherboard says it has 2x2242 slots.
In which slot should i plug the m.2 ssd and why?

The drive is:

Form Factor M.2 2280

The motherboard accepts up to 2280 long drive in top slot (on the picture: M.2 Socket 3 Type M (2242-2280)), and up to 22110 long drive in bottom slot (on the picture 2242-22110). So it will fit in both slots.

M2 does not need any cables, it's plug and play. First question - I need to know model of motherboard, not gonna waste my time looking through 10-20 similarly looking Asus boards to find which one it is.

Well, that was still not full name, but I think it's picture of Z270F. In that case, it will work in both slots, however if you choose top slot you will lose two SATA ports (5 and 6). If you need those slots (because you plan to use many drives) then you have to use bottom slot, otherwise you can use any.
