will 2400mhz ram work with z77x-ud3h

core i7 3770
gigabyte z77x-ud3h
6gb ram 1333 mhz
Gtx 680 gigabyte
600 watts PSU
and i don't like the PC performance
i guess the best thing to upgrade is the ram and i've found this on ebay

my mobo says 1333/1600/1866/2666(OC) i guess
so should i get them or should i get 1866 mhz

Get either 1866MHz or 2666MHz, or you'll waste money since it will downclock the speed to 1866MHz if you get 2400MHz, but they will still work yes.

It supports speeds up to 2800, so it can run at 2400 no problem. And even if it couldn't, it would still be able to run that kit at lower clocks.

It supports memory speeds up to 2800, including 2400. It's just indicating that anything above 1600 is technically considered overclocking, because the Intel memory controller is officially rated for no more than 1600 (in practice it can handle a lot more).
