Thanks. I won't do any overclocking. A PSU Calculator site said my load wattage would be 289w and recommended PSU wattage would be like 347w. And if I change the 960 to the 950 it would be 247w load and like 302w recommended. I also go with the mini versions, so they fit in my In Win BP671 case.
That one is slightly different. The specs list 264 watts. Same amount as my picture actually.
I am not seeing a 6 pin pci-e video card connector either.
If you can find something with a little more power it may help(and have the required connector).
If I trust my UPS, my i5 750 + GTX 650ti(this thing is great for power consumption) + WDC Red(3.5) + WDC Blue(2.5) + SSD was drawing in the 150 watt area at the wall when playing games. This system was built with lower power in mind(almost 6 years ago, the video card was swapped from a 5770 to reduce video playback power consumption). I have seen peaks of about 180(I am sure I could get a bit more).
I do not expect your system to be that power hungry, but if i burned mine out by using a 300 watt power supply(now showing any signs of that and it has been nearly 6 years) it is my own fault. I like other users to have a bit of headroom when they can.
Do they have small enough 950 and 960's to even fit that case?
It would have to be half height and single slot
2 slot(with a single backplate or whatever they call he slot the card screws into), if the case has room on the side and some way for the card to get air.
Yes, the Pandora Core is a larger case with room for a standard power supply and can even take an mATX board. mITX and mDTX(same depth as mITX, but with 2 slots) fit as well.
