Hey everyone, due to my work i don't game anymore thus i did not had to upgrade my 3570k. I am going to start playing again soon at 1080p in a 24 or 27 inch monitor and i am targeting to buy a gtx 970 or 980 for this res.
So do i have to switch to skylake to avoid bottleneck performace or an overclock can handle the gpu?
I use my pc only to game, web browsing movies and nothing more, no rendering or photoshop heck not even office :)
Also 24 or 27 inch for 1080p from half a meter viewing distance?

My rig atm is
i5 3570k no overclock
GIgabyte G1 Sniper 3 z77
Corsair H80i
Thermaltake 750w toughpower psu
16g ram
Nvidia GTX 760 2gb
Kingston SSD 120g
2x 500Gb extra storage

Yes your i5 3570k will defs keep up with these (may need a tiny overclock to keep up with 980, wouldnt need to change voltage. Would be fine at stock with a 970)

The 3570k overclocked at 4ghz+ keeps up with the 4690k with ease and isn't too far behind the newest 6600k!

Thanks mate, i was looking for this kind of answer!
