Hi guys

I bought a 400w Psu for my new build just to get me going for now, I knew I should of just got more but for whatever reason just went for 400w.

Anyway would you guys think it would be enough to run a MSI B450 gaming pro Carbon AC motherboard, 2x 8GB vegeance ram sticks, a ryzen 2700 with stock cooler and a Nvidia GTX 1050ti 4GB card?

I expect to have some negative comments lol but if you think it'll be okay until I want to upgrade, please let me know for peace of mind lol

Thanks!

P.s I won't be gaming or anything , just moderate music production and light to moderate video editing if this makes any difference

Plenty of wattage and high quality. Very efficient too.

If you want to save some money to spend elsewhere (or pocket) you could go for something like this while still playing it safe and having room for upgrades.

thanks man!, i'll just return the be quiet one and get this instead, just to be safe. I appreciate it!. Just a quick question, will I suffer from low efficiency as my unit will most likely run about 350watts on average according to a coolermaster psu calculator. I was watching a video by linus tech tips and he said if you do get a watt psu that's a lot more watt than what you actually need, you can run the risk of your parts damaging as you got "too much" wattage. I may of misunderstood this though

If you get a high wattage PSU you will have more room for upgrades without having to upgrade your psu.

"Too many watts" will not harm your PC as your computer only draws what it needs.

Having a higher wattage PSU than absolutely necessary will cause the psu to be farther from the peak of its efficiency curve and draw a little more power, however not much.
