will 533mhz memory work on a gigabyte ds3l?

Ok, SuperiorRobot said he has to RMA his RAM. That leads me to believe that he is still using it. If he has one good stick, then he can use that to flash his BIOS if he doesn't have a revision that is late enough, which he could find out if he would just install the bleeping RAM and see if it posts.
 
Thought so. Man that was a lot over nothing. If you had just tested it in the first place it would have been so much easier. At any rate happy to see that it works.
 
you will have to find that out with trial and error....whats it running at now? 533 or 400? if you drop it to 400(the option called 2 under MIT after hitting ctrl+f1) you can try to then put the fsb back at 533. This will give you a cpu overclock....not much but its better then nothing...2.6 or so is not bad....then you are not pushing the ram....

Remember test test test....prime 95 is good for that....
