I am running intel core i5 4690k 3.5ghz 32gb ddr3 pc1600. motherboard asustek z97P socket 1150
I want to install evo 960 1TB AS BOOT AND MAIN DRIVE.. MY BOARD HAS M2 SOCKET 3 WITH M KEY
TYPE 22602280 WILL THIS FIT MY BOARD OK AND WILL IT BE SUITABLE.

Yes, Asrock Z87 OC, but it might be expensive runs 30GB/s

You can get full speed from the drive by using an adapter card like this one in your boards pcie 3.0 x16 slot: https://www.amazon.com/Ableconn-PEXM2-SSD-NGFF-Express-Adapter/dp/B017JGVTAM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1496027208&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=pcie+x4+m.2+adapter&psc=1

If you have a standalone GPU you will need to plug that into the pcie 2.0 x16 slot. It will run at half speed but you will not notice any difference in video peformance.
