hello I am doing I gaming pc witch is very expensive soo I can not afford a second 780 until a year or soo later soo my concern is do I just get a 750w or buy a 1000W and save money?????
i agree with micky all power supplies have some problems but corsair and evga aren't third party and a ten year warranty is a solid policy seasonic is very good as well and corsair is the go too hardware for gaming. honestly i think a reputable 1000 watt psu is key however unless 850 watts leaves headroom for you then it's fine but always make sure you have a surplus of watts because pc gaming only requires more specs and with specs comes power consumption
Well now that you say that I think a 1000W would do me better cause I might do a water cooling loop in the future and I have just read a review on the EVGA SuperNOVA P2 1000W Power Supply and it would have to be one of the best for the price ($305 Au everying thing is so much more expensive in AU 🙁 ) so im leaning towards that and it has a hybrid mode 😀
yes well check your current power consumption then add 200-250 watts will be enough for small upgrades like ram( takes 3-4 watts) and large upgrades that can take up to 50 watts leave that headroom and your good last thing i want is to make you pay for something you don't need cooling loop does little to nothing however sli is what uses alot of power but 1000 you can add as many graphics cards as you want
corsair is reputable reviews are good and warranty is generous I use corsair never had a problem and amazon has everything on sale i built a 1,200 dollar pc for half where did you here about these problems may i ask?
amazon customers love to complain when they return things and i can't find one under 4 and a half stars you take a risk no matter where you get hardware from otherwise warranty's would be obsolete anyway do what you think is best but it is a really good deal for 1000 watts
go for it just make sure to calculate the watts your using now and take into account the power you might be using for any future upgrades if 860 watts leaves you that room than go for it try to leave 100 watts of free space but you do what you think is best its late im going to bed but it was nice talking with you
