[SOLVED] Will a 3600 work with b450 tomahawk without using a 2nd gen ryzen to update the bios?

Hello guys. I plan on buying a 2600x but I was thinking if I buy a 3600 with a cheaper motherboard (b450 tomahawk) it will be better. I read somewhere that the tomahawk has a function called bios flashback and you are able to download the latest bios without a 2nd gen ryzen. Is that true? If yes how do I update it? Thanks in advance.

So long as you're on the latest BIOS update for that board, that enables use of Ryzen 3000 series chips, yes you should be good to go!

Have the BIOS .ROM file pasted onto the root directory of a pen drive which has prevously been FAT32 formatted and then while plugged in, reboot the system and in BIOS use the MFlash utility.

Yes The MSI Tomahawk has a BIOS Flash Button which allows you to flash the BIOS without a CPU installed.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I watched that video and it's not that complicated after all. So I will buy a 3600, a b450 tomahawk and the cmk16gx4m2b3000c15 model ram. Will this ram be ok?
