Will a 360mm Radiator fit in the Thermaltake Chaster MK-i?

I have been looking to water cool my computer, and had my sights set on the XSPC Raystorm 750 EX360. The question I have is will the 360mm radiator fit inside of my Chaser MK-i? I am aware that there is room for two 200mm fans and the top of the case, but if I were to mount the radiator on the inside the drive bays might get in the way, or it might just not fit whatsoever. I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter, and would love to hear from anyone who owns this case. Thanks!

I have the same case and am going to do a custom loop also soon enough, i believe that a 360 WILL fit but modifications might have to be made in order to mount it properly. Since your going with a drive-bay reservoir it most certainly could interfere. It depends in the direction you install it, with the fittings near the back of the case you might be fine, if you go in the other direction it would be harder. If you put the bay in the bottom two slots and do not have anything occupying the top two, you might be fine. If worse comes to worse you could probably make do with a pair of 90 degree elbow fittings coming out of the radiator, and maybe even fit a CD drive. I need to check if there is anything that could obstruct the radiator close to the font panel though, in theory you should be able to screw 2/3's of it into the tabs the case has and it should hold fine, it just wont be secured how they originally intended it to be. Besides that though, are you going to be adding a GPU waterblock? because a 240mm rad is fine for just a CPU. If you are, you could always add another 140mm rad on the back exhaust of the case, The built in pump is 750 lph so it should handle the extra load just fine. My one gripe about the case is if you mount it on the taps there is a lot of metal restricting air flow.

I'm sure it could be cut, just a weird decision on the engineers i guess. I was personally looking into the Phobya Xtreme 400, but i think that may be a little too extreme (no pun intended).

I just had like another paragraph and I hit backspace and the page went back and it all got deleted :fou:

ANYWAYS, yes you can mount a 360mm radiator by doing like I said and only screwing in 2/3's of the screws, the only thing you have to do is remove the 5.25" drive bay rack....which in your case wont work. So yes it would fit but because for some reason they off-centered the tabs (which if they didn't, would have solved EVERYTHING!!! a 360 would then fit perfectly) the rack will interfere with the alignment. What you could do is take it out and make a small cut in the top left part of it and it would fit beautifully(If your comfortable with doing some case mods of course). The rack itself isn't welded to the case its fixed in place by small Allen screws. Something that you wouldn't do but others reading this could consider is if you remove the 5.25" drive bay rack and the hard drive rack (which is also affixed by Allen screws) you get a LOT more space in the case for water cooling and such. As long as you find a place to mount the hard drives you could easily mount another 240mm or 360mm radiator in the front, but you would have to make something to mount it on since for some reason the fan holes for the front are on the hard drive bays.

Oh well. Anyways, I hope my rambling has helped you in some way or another. :)
