[SOLVED] Will a 3700x bottleneck a 3080ti?

Will a 3700x bottleneck a 3080ti at 1440p maxed settings? Is it worth upgrading to a 5900x / 5800x.. all I’m going to be doing is just playing games like apex legends, farcry, and other campaign games mostly at maxed 1440p settings

There may be a slight difference at 1440P but only you can decide if it is worth it. I just did upgrade from a 3800X to 5800X because there was a good deal on it on BF but then again I decided it was worth it from a different perspective than just gaming.

It will depend on the game. I use a 3080 & 3700x for 1440p. A 5800x would give more fps is some games but I’m already getting great fps so I feel Im unlikely to really notice the extra 10-20% I might get in some games. I’d say get the 3080Ti and try it on your games, you can make a decision about the cpu later.

a 3700X is not going to equal a 5700X much less a 12700K, but, so what...

90 FPS compared to120 or even 140 fps? Both are still 'plenty fast enough ', IMO...
