My specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
MOBO: Asrock ab350 pro4
RAM: 2x4GB Corsair vengeance lpx 2400mhz
gpu: gtx 1060 6gb
SSD: 240GB
HDD: 1TB
Fans: 1x120mm 2x140mm
CPU fan: standard wraith prism

I have gotten mixed answers saying I will need a more powerful psu and others saying it will be more than enough, my current psu is CXM 450w bronze.

450w and especially an off brand or cheap 450w is not giving you much "wiggle room" in terms of power draw. Obviously it all depends on the load you are placing on it and it's also fair to say that the Ryzen uses considerably less power than it's FX predecessor. However I've always been of the mind that 450 is probably at the limit.

From experience, I'd only really be using a 450 if it was a good quality and fairly new PSU, and I'd add at least another 100w to that if it's not.

In short, yes is your answer, yes it will be enough, but it won't give you much extra overhead.
