Title says it all, Is 550w enough to power both my Gtx 970 G1 Gaming Windforce Edition and my i5-4690k on decent overclocking?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
If you don't go above 4.5Ghz on the i5 and you don't add more than a 20% overclock to the GPU, the 550W will be enough (which is a decent overclock in my opinion).

Cool mate, Thanks for the heads up I was really lost but know I know my way :)

However if your PSU is some terrible brand or low quality, you might have some troubles with it, also overclocking the GPU will most often give you little FPS boost and lot's of extra heat, which will most likely reduce the life span of the gpu, so my advice is if you don't really need the extra 5-10 fps you will get (if you get that much), just don't touch the GPU. If you decide against that, go at slow steps, increase little by little and do extensive stability tests after each memory+clock oc.

I dont think I while its a beast on its own and about the PSU's brand im getting this model : Corsair VS Series VS550M 550w and the cpu too is pretty powerful for an i5 so I think im ready to go do the fun part of building a pc ^-^
