Will a change in hardware configuration affect settings?

DISCLAIMER - This is possibly as stupid question but I am slightly unsure on the answer

Hi, if you've come across any of my threads before, you will now doubt have heard about my many troubles with my 2nd hand GTX 960. If you have not I should explain that the vram is failing. Anyway, because of this, I am currently running my PC with my old GTX 750 Ti (this is a temporary measure until I get a GTX 1050 Ti as a replacement.) What I want to know is, can I still play my games without the hardware change from the 960 to the 750Ti affecting any in game settings?

Cheers in advance,
Rob

Can't say for sure, but rarely the game will change it's settings on it's own. Only if it was coded to auto adjust them with a new hardware change.

Nevertheless, may I ask what's the problem in, if it automatically switch, you change them back to the desired settings?

By settings you mean in-game settings? Windows settings?

Perhaps some games might auto-adjust their settings to satisfy the new GPU horse-power...

Windows related, you may have to reinstall drivers, but that's about it. Anything else should stay just as it is now.

Sorry, I meant game settings (something which I have now put in the original post) and I should have also mentioned that the specific game I wish to play is Hitman: Blood Money

hope this helps you out a bit

The problem was I wasn't sure if it'd change settings automatically but I just tried it and it didn't change anything, as I thought. Sorry for wasting your time
