Hi guys,

I'm planning on buying a:

1. BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Case

2. Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI Mini ITX Motherboard

And reusing my i5 3570k, my gpu, ram and powersupply

And i'm wondering will my coolermaster pro gold 800w fit?

Solution

Which is why I believe it will fit. There is a YouTube vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKIsrwS3fX4 from BitFenix pretty good I think which shows how to successfully wrestle your PSU into the case (jk)
BitFinix claims it will hold a 170mm PSU but AnandTech begs to differ, "Our testbed power supply is 160mm, but the modular connectors make it impossible to actually fit inside the power supply bay, and I suspect even a non-modular 160mm PSU would be a tight fit at best." Found here http://www.anandtech.com/show/5867/bitfenix-prodigy-review-the-affordable-performable-miniitx/3 various other reviews remark about the PSU fitment. At 160mm, your PSU should fit with a little coaxing perhaps (if the modularity doesn't interfere).
I like the Prodigy, I am quite curious as to how the installation goes...

The problem is that it's not FULLY modular, it still has some of the basic cables hard wired. If I can fit it in, I'll be stoked but I don't want to buy a new PSU!
