Hi all, I'll be upgrading my graphics card to a Gigabyte OC GTX 1080ti or ASUS Strix ROG GTX 1080ti (probably the asus if I can get hold of it) within the next few days. I currently have a 1050ti in my build, which uses power from the mobo. Within the next few weeks I will also be upgrading my CPU cooler to a Corsair H100i v2. I was wondering if my Corsair RM650x would be enough to power these specs listed below:
CPU: i5 8600k @ 3.6ghz (probably overclocked once I get a better cooler)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2
Mobo: MSI Z-370A Pro ATX Motherboard
RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @3000mhz (2 x 8gb sticks)
Storage: Samsung 960 evo NVMe M.2
Storage: WD Caviar Blue 1tb HDD 7.2rpm
GPU: GTX 1080ti (either ASUS or Gigabyte)
PCIe Slot: TP Link 300mbps WiFi Card
Fans: 2 Corsair stock fans and 4 Arctic F12 120mm fans
If this is plenty enough, then I will keep it as it is
If it's sufficient enough for now, then I'll keep it in there till I next have enough money to get a Corsair RM750x
If it's not good enough and will most likely explode (probably unlikely), then I'll hold back on buying the GPU till I have a better PSU.
Thank you!
